M42 - Nikon adaptor

Just bought one of these so I can make use of a couple of old Carl Zeiss lens I have. Looking forward to having a play.

Yes, if you want infinity focus as the M42 flange distance is smaller than Nikon's. Two problems: they act as a teleconverter and increase the focal length of the lens and usually have the optical quality of the bottom of a bottle.

Oh dear... it's arrived today but it's still in the packet. Lol.

If you mean just the ring adapter... pain in the rear to remove once attached...
Also watch that it doesn't turn on the mount, as this causes panic in trying to remove it without breaking anything...

The M42 with the bottom of a bottle glass is thicker, earier to remove, but does soften the pictures.

However, for experimenting with different focal lengths that are usually out of price range, or some really really crisp older lenses, this is invaluable.
