I really kiss the old days of manual everything, especially the aperture ring on the lens compared to today's rather unsatisfactory wheel on the camera body. So I just dug out my old Praktica camera gear, and I thought how cool it would be to pop the lenses on my d5100. Looks like a converter costs less than a tenner, but I am confused about why some are described as "no focus to infinity" and others "with glass focus to infinity". I thought it would just be a case of fitting an adapter ring, without glass, to make it all work? Could someone explain, and tell me what I need to buy?

Oh I see. Thanks - that explains it. Rather a shame to use glass, with presumably an associated quality loss, but I have no wish to hack about with the lenses! I guess it's only a tenner, so what the hell if it looks rubbish!

And I hate this iPad keyboard a why autocorrect "miss" to "kiss"?
