Yes
Right, I used to know the answer to this, but I have a lack of brain function right now.
I have OS x Tiger, and would like to upgrade to Snow Leopard/Leopard.
Any idea which pack I need to buy? I obviously don't wanna/can't but the snow upgrade cos I don't have original leopard...Hulp? :bonk::help::lol:

From the apple website: Link

Upgrading from Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger.
If your Intel-based Mac is running Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger, purchase the Mac Box Set (when available), which is a single, affordable package that includes Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard; iLife, with the latest versions of iPhoto, iMovie, GarageBand, iWeb and iDVD; and iWork, Apple’s productivity suite for home and office including Pages, Numbers and Keynote.

Oh. Ok. Is there any way to get it without the iLife upgrades? Cos I really don't need/use them enough, and am quite happy with the versions I have? Although I have a hunch that's the 'catch'

Thanks very much!
Off to see how much that'll set me back!

£129
Looking at this myself.
And no you cannot get retail without all the crap that they have bundled with it!! Shame...

I read if you buy the upgrade only it will work fine but you user agreement is invalid...

from what I read apple isnt so bothered about it but maybe worth the google?!

"But acccording to Walt Mossberg, the technology columnist for the Wall Street Journal, Tiger users could opt for the cheaper upgrade. "Apple concedes that the £25 Snow Leopard upgrade will work properly on these Tiger-equipped Macs, so you can save the extra £104," Mossberg said."

Hmmmmm

You see. I had heard that, but dunno if I wanna risk it, really. The last thing I need[even though I have it backed up] is losing my system, and not doing it 'proper' either....

Yeh, read further it needs to be a clean install..
I suppose if all else failed assuming you have your original Tiger discs you could restore??
