Yes
I'm running Snow Leopard 64. I'm also using LogMeIn which was behaving itself nicely until a recent upgrade.

Now, whenever the machine is booted, I receive the message:

Do you want the application "LogMeIn.app" to accept incoming network connections?

This was already set up to allow incoming in the Firewall pane of Security Preferences. I've removed it, rebooted and re-entered it. But to no avail :shake:

Any ideas folks?

Do you have to click it or does it immediately disappear? I get this with all my network active apps but it just disappears. It's as if the app asks and the OS answers before I get the chance to.

But if I try to access the imac from abroad, using LogMeIn, as I have done in the past, but the message is there waiting for an operative to click 'Allow', then it's not going to give me access. Therefore, it's useless unless I can stop this message popping up on every boot.

Hmm strange. I'd try deleting it from the Applications folder and re-install it. Presumably you had it installed before you upgraded?

Also, have a look at the text file that's in the 'Incompatible Software' folder in the root of your HDD, that will tell you if it though LogMeIn was compatible at the time you upgraded.

That was my next option.

yup.

?? can't find it?

If the upgrade process doesn't find any incompatible software then that folder doesn't get created. So that rules out that.... try the re-install route.

Deinstalled, rebooted, downloaded and installed. Rebooted.

No message - YAY!

Checked date of download. Uh oh! Checked for updates, update downloaded.

Rebooted.

Message returns....

Mucho swearing.

The problem appears to be in the update.

I've now reverted to the download version, dated Feb 2008, and ignoring the message asking me to update it.

I was just about to wind you up about Mac users never having any problems :suspect: ...Then I thought well maybe not... people in glass houses (lots of windows) had better not start throwing stones!

Shall we just settle for BLOODY COMPUTERS!

cheers
