There is nothing wrong as such, but is there a way to keep the airport running when I shut the lid?

I need to have MSN running while it is shut, but when I do shut it the airport disconnects.

Thanks

Would have thought by shutting the lid it goes into standby, suspending all programs. I am a PC user, but check the power settings, there should be an option just to turn the screen off when the lid is shut

You might want to have a look at this discussion. OK it's a MBP but I would think it relates to an Air as well.

Alternative is get an iPad:lol:

@aligibbs - I thought this also (wife and daughter use a Windows based laptop which has these settings, however, I can not see them on the MBA.

@Chappers - Which discussion? No link I can see if you did intend to have one. I do too much typing and like hitting a keys to get an iPad ;)

Sorry was a bit early.

Anyway the gist of the link was a discussion that you needed to "wake up" the Macbook by plugging in a keyboard or mouse to the usb port. All the comments were try this and try that no one seems to have actually done it, so may be a red herring. I suspect doing that defeats the object anyway.

If you get no more joy here try Mac Forums, they may be able to help

No problem, I have had a look and it looks like something that can not be changed.

Thanks for looking though John

:plusone: For Windows.... :D :exit:
