Yes
hi, just debating the possiblilty of taking a trip to wales in early may. Basically was just wondering if theres any days of the week which are on average busier then any others or is it just down to luck.

thanks

Don't know the loop, but RAF activity on a Friday tends to be less than other weekdays so I'd guess at avoiding that day for starters.

i've had some cracking fridays...pure luck of the draw!

Monday to Friday...avoid days when I go there as nothing much comes through when I'm there....well that's how it seems for the past 5 visits:bonk:

Just go and enjoy yourself. Its pure luck. I've seen F15's at Cadwest at 5.00pm on a Friday afternoon, so anythings possible. :D

The ammusement provided by watching you put your tent up and down twice in 10 mins did make up for the lack of aircraft that day on corris a while back Rory!

Hope to see you up there soon
Charlie

Its a loop between machynlleth and Dolgellau. The best viewing points are Cad West which is on the main dolgellau mach road, park at the top of the pass or Bwlch approx 4 miles from cross foxes with car park on right.

Loads of info can be found on other sites if you google low flying aircraft

Try the following websites warplane, lowfly, fox2

Yes that is the bwlch. the car park is small so arrive early. Follow the footpath uphill to the crags, There are three levels there all suitable for views down the valley and planes pass in front at the same level.

just get there early and ask someone if they mind showing you the way...plenty of helpfull people in this game!
