Hi

Just invested in 100mm 2.8 macro and i'm shocked how hard good macro shots are :)

These are a few of my "beginner" attempts.

Any and all comments (good and bad) are welcome as i need to learn.

they arnt at all bad for a first crack
macro is all in the setup and preparation.
 
Congrats on your new lens and welcome to macro. Good start, the eye is really good. Keep practising and be amazed with the tiny world we just ignore in normal life ;)
 
Eye it is difficult:D the eye is my fav. Good start, something I havent tried yet.
 
One of the ones i had with the eye .... the AF focussed on my reflection in the eye and you can clearly see me taking the shot as being in focus rather than the eye itself.

Using Manual focus now :)
 
Love the first one. I've had a crack at some droplets, but water+camera=trouble ;)
