For my friend's birthday, I'd like to get her a guide to macro photography - it seems to be her main photographic interest.
However, she is extremely scared of spiders. I've had a look at some macro books, but they all had photos of spiders in them and I just know she would turn the page. I don't really know enough about macro photography to know whether not reading those pages would make a huge difference or not.
So, my request is: does anyone know of a macro guide book (skill level: played around with it, got some nice shots but more by luck than judgement) that either doesn't have photos of spiders or, if it does, only has them on 'unimportant' pages?
Thanks for any suggestions.
