I was thinking about ring lights and led lamps for macro flash and realised I had the perfect flash on board my camera, if only I could get the light where I wanted.
I found 3 offcuts of perspex, an elastic band, a bit of foam and an old camera case attachment nut and came up with this.
I used an elastic band on the light transfer piece so i could adjust it and try different angles/ends as I have a few of this size laying around. I'll make another the same and maybe paint it silver etc.
Here's a test photo of an old steel rule to show light coverage, nothing fancy, just a quick hand held shot.
I haven't even had time to try it outside yet, but thinking of more ideas to get the light to more than one point, think I'll play with 4 perspex rods tomorrow, also try some outdoor macro shots with it.
The whole thing didnt cost me one penny, I love a bargain
