macro in natural light?

is it at all possible to produce decent results, on a bright sunny day with no additional lighting?

Here are a few photos I've taken in the past all using completely natural light (not the best photos as I didn't have the knowledge then that I have now) I think it partly depends on the subject matter but as long as there isn't too larger contrast in the image (in light and dark) then I think yes its possible.

Yes it is possible, if you have a bright sunny day and you do not intend going closer than 1:1.
All the pics in my post here were taken in natural light.
With the Tamron 90mm macro that I use, I shoot in Aperture priority and try to keep the shutter speed above 1/100s by cranking up the ISO if necessary.
