What options do I have to reduce the focus length of a lens?

I have the Nikon 18-200, but it has a minimum focus distance of 50cm which is a bit far. Is there anything I can get to reduce this?

If not, what are the other options to get some super close ups (can't afford a new lens :| )

Have you tried the Raynox close up lens. I have the DCR 105 and find it works well. It's only about £22.
