Macro lens choice

Hi all,

I'm considering getting a macro lens. Due to various constraints, the only ones suitable will be the canon 100mm non-usm, sigma 105mm tamron 90mm and tokina 100mm.

Speed of focussing is not particularly important, but it won't always be used in perfect light. Sharpness is my main concern.

I've read the online reviews, but was wondering if people here have used these, and are there any significant issues.

It will be used on a canon crop body, particluar model yet to be determined.

the canon is a USM lens, which will be fast but remeber macro focussing is generally slower than normal length focusing.

I had the canon for a while and it was great, tack sharp and never had a problem with it.
 
Blimey that was quick!

33L - It may be an older model I'm looking at, as its got to be a specific size, and there are 2 options, the first sizing is listed as 100mm ef macro which is good for me, while the second sizing states its for either the 100mm macro ef usm or the 100mm L ef is usm macro :thinking:
