I need help on deciding which macro lens is best for my Sony Alpha A350.
I don't really want to spend too much but I'm willing to go up to £400.

Any advice would be welcome

you won't go far wrong with any of the offerings from sony, sigma or tamron to be honest.depending on what you intend to shoot will have a say in what focal length is best suited...in other words,if you intend to shoot bugs/insects,then a focal length of 90mm and larger would be best,as the working distance is greater than say,a 50mm lens..so less chance you will frighten them away.i use the sigma 105 macro lens,an it's a great lens that produces great results,so i can highly recommend it.here's a few shots taken with it...

I say Tamron 90mm, but you can also go for Sigma 105mm. I also love Sigma 50mm, but that would good for flowers, bugs may need further distance, like 90mm lens can give.
For 1.5 crop 90mm would be great for portraits too, but some wil say that 105mm is even better.

Thanks for the help guys.

I think looking at it I may go for the Tamron 90mm.

The problem now is finding £340 to buy the thing. Unless I can find a 2nd hand one

why do you think that I posted the link?
bear in mind that it's coming from HK so is a grey import.

Well, Jessops has 10% off Tamron lens right now!!! till 9th OCt !!!
