Depends on budget and what are you looking to photo

A 50mm Macro lens is great for general Macro work, but is a little short if you are looking to shoot insects etc.

i think you'll be looking for a 100mm minimum then if you're looking at Insects - you could possibly manage with a 50mm if budget was tight.

My daughter uses a Sigma 50mm Macro lens and loves it
