Firstly, i am sorry if this has been asked before but i have used the search function to no avail
I am being a cheapskate here and am looking to getting the fd 100mm f2.8 macro lens to use on my 50D with an adapter.
The questions i have are, does anyone do a similar thing, is it straight forward, is the quality of the old FD anywhere near the newer EF (please don't tease by mentioning the L version) ?
I have a raynox dcr250 but feel that the shots i see with the 100mm EF macro have much better DOF than my raynox shots even when i am using f16-f22. I am not to worried about auto focus as my macro bugs are shot in manual. I would hower need to step the aperture down as 2.8 wouldn't really help.
Other FD lenses would also be on my shopping list if the idea is feasable
Any advice or help would be very much appreciated,
Many thanks
Cliff
