Macro Rabbit amonst other things....

Hiya,

Went out with the macro lens looking for all things small... whilst walking back to the car i saw a Rabbit; so as a test to my hunting skills I decided to see how close I could get..... This was with the sigma 105 and no cropping

1. (I did get one without the fence but that has a crop)

The rest of these are the random other shots I took

2. Boggy Marsh Land Flower - ID please!

3. Not many of these about and the ones that were about didnt want to rest in easy places!

4. Hairy Mushroom

5. Bug of some sorts!

Nobody should think that a macro lens (MPE65 aside) cant be used for great shots. I used to use mine for portraiture on a 35mm film body.

Your damsel is a little lacking in DOF.

The last might be a boatman of some sort (not that I have a clue)

I really struggled getting the DOF on the damsels; the flash was just blowing everything out. With hindsight i should have upped the ISO a little; will give that a go next time

Nice set, the flower is a may flower and the damsel try using F.11 for your DOF.
