With the lens focused to 1:1 on your camera, an object about 22mm X 15mm will fill the frame. To get closer you can crop in PP, but you will lose IQ the more you crop.
You can add more tubes, preferably the auto type like Kenko, to get even closer, but remember the closer you get, the less depth of field ypu get and the harder focusing becomes. Also less light gets to the sensor, so you need to use stronger flash.
The ultimate setup would be the Canon MP-E 65mm macro lens with macro flash. This will get you to 5:1 magnification with no add ons.
I would suggest you get 1:1 shots nailed before trying for more magnification.

Looking at you flickr, you were using 1/30s shutter speed which is a bit low. I would suggest closer to 1/200s to freeze any movement. Otherwise they are good for a first effort.

Hi

Depending on what you are wanting to photo, the Sigma 50mm F2.8 Macro lens is a belter (my daughter uses ours and gets fantastic shots with it) if you're shooting still life / plants etc.
If you're wanting to shoot bugs and the like, then you need 100mm + lens to be able to get close enough

The only way to get massive close ups is to get the MP-E65 macro lens, but then you really need a flash to go with it and unless you've got about a grand to spend you're going to struggle to get it. A Canon 100 f2.8 macro is ideal for bugs and stuff, I use mine a lot in the summer months, as it will give you good size shots that you can crop and still get great detail.
This was taken with my 100 L macro and a 7D, one handed, while hanging off a tree branch. The bee was about 7 feet up the tree and while it's not perfect it does go down as the hardest to get shot for me.
