Macro tubes for Canon

I'm pondering purchasing some macro tubes for my Canon 450D ans wondered if any one has purchased the AF tubed from ebay like the following...

AF Extension Tubes for Canon 550D 500D 450D 400D 1000D for £46

or

Econo AF Macro Tubes 13/21/31 for CANON 500D 400D 450D for £40

Or should i just save my pennies and buy the Kenko tubes?

They look reasonable for the price. They provide electronic connection with the camera which you need. I looked at a couple of people's feedback and there was nothing negative about them. The only issue would be over build quality since there is no glass to worry about.
 
Might have a go with these myself. Will they retain aperture control from the camera? Or will you need to use a lens with an aperture ring, or set it and remove the lens to put the tubes on?

So long as they are the ones with the electrical connections (which the picture shows), then you can still modify the aperture from the camera, no need to remove, replace, remove etc.
 
Sorry, bad turn of phrase, the tubes I purchased from ebay a month or so ago, were ~£25 more :(
They did the job though. (and were the cheapest I could see at the time doing a lowest +P&P first)

Have you got any example shots with them please?
 
I'd also like to hear from someone who has these particularly wrt the electrical connection on the Mikes photo tubes.
