loking at macro lenses which one please and i am brand new at it thnx
 
Budget? which camera?
 
budget is what it takes as long as its not an arm and two legs
 
And which camera is it to go on? Do you want to do hand held or tripod mounted? What sort of subjects? Asking which lens for macro without any context is a bit like asking "which camera shall I buy"....
 
PS. How long are your arms and legs? Macro can be anything from a lens attachment (Raynox DCR-250 for example) through to very expensive lenses
 
am sorry did not realise it was so complicated would like to do bugs and stuff

One of the 100mm Canon macros would probably do you very nicely as you get a reasonably compact lens and a reasonable working distance. I have the more expensive IS one which helps a bit when handholding. The cheaper (non-IS) one is almost as sharp as the more expensive one.
