Evening all.

I have a magazine shoot tomorrow and I'm feeling a bit dry in terms of ideas and inspiration, so looking for any creative suggestions from you helpful lot out there :)

Brief is as follows - basically it's of a footballer who is also a qualified barber. Therefore the shoot is in a barber's shop. The mag have asked if possible for a "Dumb and Dumber" (ie the film) approach ie a metal bowl on the subject's head and wrap around gown thing. However, I'm not too keen on this as I think it puts the emphasis on the person having their hair cut rather than the 'barber' himself, who needs to be the main subject of the pic.

So, any bright ideas in terms of set up, and particularly good 'angles' for making sure the guy cutting the hair or whatever is the prime focus. (Will be portrait rather than landscape when published also).

Also, any shots out there for inspiration - I've been looking on various photo libraries but not much doing....

How about a pretty straight portrait of him holding a cut throat razor and sporting a quizzical expression?

Something like this would be nice. lit well it could produce a 'good' pic. However, the mag like things a bit quirky if possible, which I quite like myself. Hence the Dumb and Dumber thing, which I like in principle, just not sure about in practice.

How about half a football on his head? First thing that came to mind..i'll get me coat.!

That's a top idea actually! Not sure if it would translate properly though, but worth thinking on.....

Any more ideas?
