magazines

Black & White Photography, Shots Magazine (shotsmag.com), JPG Magazine (jpgmag.com) and occasionally HotShoe :)

I live in Corsica where the English photographic magazines are not sold, but every time I get the opportunity to go to Paris or to England I buy Digital Camera & Digital Photo.

I always quite liked Practical Photography, it's a nice light read.

photoplus for me and digital photographer, but I tend to pick up most others on and off too

as many as i get my hands on i get i tend to take what takes my fancy by whats in it rather than the name

Practical Photography is not so bad but it needs to get a bit more meat on the bones of its articles. They seem to give you a wee taster of something cool but there is no depth to it.

I quite like Professional Photographer as well.

I never buy them but often browse through when I pass Borders. Used to check out all of them, but have recently stoped at Black&White photography and a couple of others starting with "pro" . you will laugh at my choice here, but most of amateur ones are often very superficial. I find much more info in online forums, which I read 10x more:)
The best one but expensive is Aperture. it does not talk about equipment at all, but concentrate on photography - very inspiring!

Not seen Aperture but I love magazinnes that concentrate on the photography. My problem with Practical Photography has been that they concetrate on where to move those dials as if we're all beginners - and it used to be so much better.

I subscribe to Professional Photographer (I'm not a pro) and Digital SLR Photography because they inspire me, rather than give me step by step instruction. Not everyone's cup of tea but it's what I need.

I'll be in Borders tomorrow so will check out Aperture - I find US photography magazines very very dull.

I buy Amateur Photographer when there is a review I'm interested in, as they do very good in depth reviews imho.

Of the others, and there are many, 14+ the last time I counted, I've read them all at one time or another.

I tend to get them when there is something of interest in them. That is becoming less frequent as you start to notice the repetition after awhile.

I've bought Digital Camera Magazine, Digital SLR Photography, Practical Photography and Photography Monthly the most looking at the piles of mags I have.

I bought Digital Photo magazine for only the 2nd time in about 4-5 years last week, and was struck by how many of the images in the mag had been visibly digitally manipulated to a greater or lesser extent. Not surprising when I thought about it though, as they always have tutorials on the disk which comes with the mag, and you can only sharpen, crop and resize for so long before things start to get a bit more extreme.

DSLR Photography, Practical Photography, Photography monthly and any other that has an article of special interest.

Digital Camera.... i love the tutorials in the mags and the info they give you.

you always get a cd with tutorials and software on it which is always handy (not that i have had the chance to check them as my DVD on my laptop is broke..

Outdoor Photographer for me - Love the photos and great ideas for locations too

Don't get it confused with the American version though, that's rubbish (and I still have 8 months left on subscription LOL!)
