Make do or Macrro

After now a full year with my camera, doing long wildlife shots, I now would like to get into macro, having asked different people on the way to go, I am getting mixed answers, someone lent me a tamron 90 to try, and I was impressed, someone suggested I just get extension tubes, but the Sigma 105 as been also suggested, I have some basic kit stuff, canon 50 1.8 / 18-55is / 55-250is, would extension tubes work with these, or shall I go for a new lens altogether ?

The extension tube and 50mm is a pretty good combo, you'll probably want to upgrade to a dedicated macro lens in the future, but it'll definitely curb your macro cravings for quite a while first

After having the +1 +2 +4 and +10 on the end of a lens, the dedicated macro produced way better results.

I'd go with a 1:1 macro (magnification) prolly an f2.8 and enjoy the results.



Oh and get some £10 tubes too...
