Making a 5DC wifi enabled - how?

Is there any way of making a 5DC wifi? I recently bought one as a first foray into FF and love it to bits. I was wondering though, is there anything you can buy to enable you to wifi images directly to an Ipad, laptop or some such device? I realise the 5DC is knocking on a bit now so I may be hoping for too much.

If you mean a Canon 5DC, check out the eye fi card, it will do what your wanting.

If what you have uses an SC card that is, if it is a CF card, you can get a SD to CF adapter.
 
Sorry, yes a canon 5D. Didn't realise that there was such a thing as an SD-CF adapter, would be easy enough with an eye-fi card then.

there is also a wifi battery grip but how easy they are available for a 5Dc is anyone's guess.
Would be around 400 sovs too!
 
Is the range crap in general or is that a trade off with having to use an adapter? Wouldn't be much of an issue as the iPad, phone or whatever would be within a foot or so.

The adapter would reduce the range a little. A metal 1D body had a range of about 1m to ipad, so something a little more plasticky with adapter should be similar. A plastic xxxD or 60D should behave slightly better with one of those
 
1m would still be plenty, a 5D body shouldn't effect the signal too bad I wouldn't have thought. I'll price the card and adapter up locally tomorrow, if there's only a few £ difference compared to online I'll just buy and save waiting.

Any recommendations for apps to view RAW files or do they read ok on iPad?

I plan on getting the eye fi pro x2 for my Canon 1100D for when I start doing studio work.

The Ipad reads raw files and displays them fine, not sure about editing them, possibly something like iphoto.
 
That's fine, as long as it reads the files and I can view when out in the back and beyond.
 
I have and use eye-fi with my 5D2, not recommended!

first, not all SD-CF adaptors will work with eye-fi card.
second, the range is terrible.
third, due to eye-fi's file locking, the camera may lock up on burst shots or deleting a file
forth, I've never gotten eye-fi's direct mode to work, not even on compatible D3100

BUT, I do use it all the time at home, when a shot can be taken again. Only use it to transfer the odd shots onto computer instead of having to remove the card for those 2 photos.

For immediate viewing without a router or computer, good luck if all I can say!
