Making an ebook

I am thinking about maybe putting together an ebook of my photos from a trip I took to the Lofoten islands last year. It will most likely just be one to email to friends but I still want it to look good.

My question is how do I make an ebook that looks professional? What software is used and how are they published? I can find a few things on google about ebooks in general but not much on photography ones.

Yea they have some really great looking ebooks on there.

....But I still don't know how to make one. :shrug: What software do you use etc.

Tools
For laying out the book for SoFoBoMo, Naomi used Adobe InDesign. This is an exceptional layout program with enormous flexibility and tools to get precise placement of objects and text. Other layout programs you might try are Microsoft publisher or a free one called Scribus.

I think I'll give Scribus a go. Indesign looks good but is waaay to expensive for me.
