I'm on a textiles course and am in the process of designing my own camera bag for general use.
I have a dslr and wish to store the camera, with a little extra space for batteries, a filter or two, and maybe a pocket for things I cant think of at the minute.
I'm looking at welding a wire cage which will be padded out with foam then covered with a suitable fabric.
I would be interested if anyone has any ideas for features or characteristics they feel useful in such a bag - or even things to be wary of!
