Making you own lens adaptor rings

My dad has given me a set of "old skool" 35mm Sigma Macro, Yashica 50mm Prime and Minolta WideAngle Lenses, which I'm very grateful of.
However, they are all Yashica fitment and i can't seem to find any sort of adaptor ring to convert them to fit my Nikon, or even to M42 :bang:

I'm thinking of unbolting the Yashica mounting ring and trying to find a way of designing a bespoke adaptor.
As far as I can tell from looking on the net it'll be the first of it's kind. :thinking:

Have any TP'ers done anything like this before?
 
There's a reason you'd be the first of it's kind normally ;) You may find that the linkages and such like will in no way connect with the nikon mount without some massive enginering undertaking and the addition of correcting lenses for infinity focussing.

I actually work for a Formula one team, so the design and engineering resource should be a doddle if i speak to the right people and their willing to do a bit of work in their lunch breaks. :lol:

anyway, i think i may have found something that will be ideal. it also has glass so it'll allow me to focus to infinity :thumbs:

yeah, that one is <£20 and the SRB stuff is £40+ straight off the shelf so i recon i'd be double that. cheers though!
