One of a small flock who visit my back garden on a regular basis.

Hi Bobby, a nice capture of the male Chaffinch but it is a little on the soft side. Did you use a tripod for the shot? I have had a look at the exif info on the shot and it shows that you used a shutter speed of 1/125 sec which is too slow and results in blurred images due to bird movement. At the long end of your lens you need to be using a minimum of 1/300 sec. It is a pleasing shot with good bird colours all the same.

That's a good capture at that shutter speed. I presume that the light did not allow you to increase the shutter speed Bob
