After this mornings attempts at kites I thought I give the 70-300G I bought earlier this week a run out, I am pleased with the results so far

2 and 3 look a little soft for portrait type shots, not sure what happened in 4 but suspect you had very poor light,
No 1 looks a happy chappy

I think #4 is underexposed, did you shoot RAW and can you retrieve something, whereas #1 looks a bit overexposed. I agree #2 & #3 look a bit soft to me as well.
