Hi, has anyone here used (or have any experience of) the Manfrotto 055M8-Q5 Photo Video Head? I am having a bit of a dabble into video at the moment and my current head (Manfrotto 393) doesn't seem to be suitable (either that or I'm a numpty!) :bonk:
Camera is a 7D and lens is a 600mm f4 (total weight about 7kg), subject being wildlife. Oh, and I cannot hold things still at the best of times, so I was hoping the "fluid" side of things will damp out my jittery pans! I don't really want to spend much over a couple of hundred quid, but if anyone knows of a better solution please tell!:thumbs:
 
Thanks Jacob. Unfortunately a 504HD is out of my price range, being £125 more than the 055M8 Q5, and would seem to be less easy to use for photography.

It depends on how serious you want to get with the video side of things, no photo head is ever going to be as good as a dedicated video head, even the 055M8 Q5, but I suppose if you can't afford a dedicated head its the next best thing :thumbs:
