Manfrotto 290 series tripod with head

just purchased this and came with 3 point head,
but is there anyway of locking the head on? when i swivel to turn the camera it just loosens which causes it to wobble so i can only move it one way, is there anyway of locking it

On most Manfrotto tripods there are 3 little screws that are hidden under the head mounting platform. Tighten them up with a small screwdriver and they should prevent the head from unscrewing. In practice, one is enough to do the job but overkill is better than under!

Strange - I've got a 293 tripod and although it has 'indentations' where you expect the screw holes to be, there are no holes. I use a 494RC2 head which also has no 'receiver' holes.
