Manfrotto 4 piece carbon tripod height extension?

Hi all,

I've got a Manfrotto carbon tripod 190MF4, which is great - just could do with going a bit higher... Anyone got any ideas? can you buy extra central bars that are longer for instance?

It's not a good idea to use the centre column at full extension anyway - it becomes hoplessly wobbly.

You need a bigger tripod, like the Manfrotto 055 range, which is quite a bit taller.

Oh no :bonk: I was hoping you wouldn't say that! But agree - was using it last night with the D300 hooked up to my mac as a remote release to get around that...

Looks like I'm looking for a bigger tripod - thanks for the advice
