Manfrotto 555b vs Manfrotto 438

Morning all, I've had it in my head that I really want a 555b for my tripod just for quickness ov levelling but while trawling through Amazon this morning I came across the Manfrotto 438 Ball Head Leveller........

Now hopefully I'm not missing anything but surely there both the same thing apart from the fact that the 438 is more versatile as it will fit more tripods than just the Manfrotto 055 range?

438 is £60 in Jessops, which I know doesn't answer the question but could tip the balance?

Obviously the 438 is more versatile as well as cheaper and it'll fit any tripod.

Thanks think I'll go for the 438 has to be worth a shot can't seem to work out the difference
