Manfrotto 681B - Isn't Big

I just got my Manfrotto monopod this morning, its the 681B, i was taken back alittle at the size off it. you dont get to sense the size when looking at it online.

What's your option on the size of the 681?

Height 1.61 mtr open
0.65 closed
Will take 12kg weight
Am 5ft 8in and with either 300mm or 500mm rarely use it fully extended, possibly different with just camera and short lens.

I've got one as well, rarely use it fully extended. I've got a tilt head on top of mine, and with that and the camera on top it's taller than you'd think

I've got one of those on my tripod, but I think a ball head might be overkill on a monopod as you can move it around anyway.

Forgot to mention I have a 234 head with Arca clamp mounted on mine.
