hey Peeps,

i have a manfrotto 390rc2 head which has decided to fall appart! now im in the process on buying another... looking at the 804rc2 as a cheap replacement.. can anyone tell me if they use the same mounting plate so i can keep a plate on each camera without having to swap them about all the time.

cheers

Matt

Pretty sure the QR plates are the same - that's what the RC2 part of the model # refers to. It's very useful having the same QR mount on all supports - saves a LOT of faffing. It's possible to get converter plates but adds unnecessary expense IMO.

Learn from this and invest in an Arca Swiss type head and plates if you want full compatibilty into the future. ;)

I barely use my tripod , you could probably count on one hand how many times I've used it this year . So I can't justify spending that amount of money into my tripod .
