Thought this might be useful to other and apologies if it’s already been done and posted on here ?

I really love Arca Swiss replacement feet on any lens I own / owned but love the manfrotto N8 nitrotech fluid head but don’t like the bulky plate as it digs in my head if holding lens by the foot.

I tired to find adaptors and some about but not many and really expensive.

I thought it might be possible to by an Arca clamp which could be bolted to the standard manfrotto plate.

Off to search Amazon and came across a nice long Arca clamp by mengs for £20

It came yesterday and really pleased with the solution, this can now be left in place on the head or removed at any time without any permanent fixtures / drilling

hopefully the attached photos show how easy it is to do

How's the bubble level on it? Easily readable?
To be honest I have not looked but it would be fine, I level using either the tripod bubble or the N8 has one too, the plate seems pointless as you will be moving the top of the head anyway
