I bought a Manfrotto 190 with the head recommended for the weight of my lens. Normal three-way.
There is a small screw on the plate which (on every other tripod head I've come across) is kind of spring loaded.
This one isn't.
It protrudes further than the bit which screws into the lens-mount or camera, has a collar each side of the plate, and although one side is padded and the other has a normal screw slot (not Philips, I mean) there is no way you can safely attach the camera to the plate -
I was going to phone the seller (the company currently has a sale on Manfrotto goods !) tomorrow, but it was suggested I ask you guys.
Forgive me my lack of correct nomenclature for the bits !
