So... now I own a G3 with an EVF, I'm looking to buy some MF primes. I know about the Voigtlander 25mm f0.95 but I'd like to look for something that is a good lens but can be had for much less. I know I need an adaptor, but I guess I'm looking at what options there are around 25mm and 35-50mm (already have 7.5 and 14mm covered).

The cheaper the better :)
 
Something different...

and I don't think the m4/3 has the range of cheap primes that taking something older will give. Looking for some fun for <£100 - with my clothes on ;)
 
I had a CZJ Flektogon 35mm F2.4 on my G1 for a short while, took lovely pictures but I sold it. The cheap old Canon 50mm 1.8 FD was also surprisingly good on the G1 too, I used that quite a lot.
 
Vivitar 24mm f2.8 (Cosina version) is a nice lens on m4/3 (Also branded Carl Zeiss, Cosina and Miranda) can be had cheap at auction (BIN prices are ridiculous though and unsuprisingly aren't going anywhere!)

Pentax 50mm f1.4 and Minolta MD 45mm f2 are 2 of my personal favourites. The 45mm was barely off my GH1, such a wonderful lens.
 
Thanks. I'll take a look at some of those. The pain is buying the corresponding adapters...

Is there one fitting which is more common than others? I see you can get some of these lenses in lots of different fittings. Would it be sensible to standardise on - say - FD format and then try and get a set of lenses in that format.
 
If you're going to standardise go Pentax without a doubt - excellent glass by Pentax that's cheap and plentiful, and because the K mount was originally intended to be universal, there are zillions of the third party lenses all going cheap for it. Avoid Nikon like the plague, Nikon's own glass is expensive and because you can use them on current DSLRs third party lenses in Nikon mount are also expensive. Another plus for Pentax is that with another small (and cheap) adapter, your pentax mount becomes an M42 mount too.

I would have said go zukio as the OM fit primes are generally excellent and really compact sadly it seems alot of people have notices allthough some of the more common lenses are still reasonable I love my 28mm f2.8 and 50mm f1.8 the 135mm f3.5 isn't quite as good but still pretty decent.
 
I picked up my first manual prime this week. I grabbed an OM fit 50mm f/1.8 for £20 from the classifieds here and an adapter for it for £9 on eBay. I chose to go for the OM fit as they seem to crop up pretty regularly on eBay and the like.
As I only received the adapter today I haven't been able to give the lens a test yet, but hopefully I can do that at the weekend.
