Mark on pictures

Yes
I apologise if this in the wrong section, but it is probably a basic question.

I have been playing with slow shutter speeds tonight and have noticed a couple of marks on the picture. I have seen them before when I was taking some some early morning shots in the mist, again with a slow shutter.

The marks do not seem to appear when using normal shutter speeds.

I have marked the spots (the arrows are not UFO's !)

If anyone can shed any light on the matter (no pun inteneded) I would be very grateful.

PS, the photo was taken using f16, iso 100, 15 min shutter.

Cannot see the marks clearly but agree with Gramps above.

Take a picture of a white paper with a high F number and see if they look like dust bunnies.

If they do search on the forum for senson cleaning.

london camera exchange do a sensor cleaning service very good i use them when i need mine doing as i tryed it once but i didnt have much success my local LCE charge £40 for a good sensor clean

It's using F16 that has made them more visible.
I usually take a picture of a bright sky with the aperture shut down to see how bad they are.
There's always at least one or two specks.
Cleaning yourself is the best option as they can recur within a day or two if you're unlucky - or just put up with them.
Evidently these have gone un-noticed for some time.

To be honest, I can't see any marks on that picture! Doesn't help that I'm looking for a blury shadow on a dark background! I would also guess at them being dust bunnies - a good blow with a rocket blower should sort them out (camera throat facing down, of course) but if that doesn't work, either a wet clean or a SensorKlear from LensPen as a DIY solution. Commercial wet cleans have been known to leave the sensor dustier than it was before it went in and as long as you're not completely ham fisted, cleaning it yourself is relatively painless. Nerve wracking the first couple of times, yes but not hard to do!

Thanks for all your replies, I will get a blower at the weekend and see how I get on. Cheers everyone.
