Marks on lens rear element

Was wondering does light marks on the rear element of a lens actually do a major effects on image quality? When it says marks i'm not sure does it mean scratch.

Is thus lens your thinking of buying ? My 17-50 has a bit of dust trapped on the rear element but dosent show on anything unless you shoot at f16+ and then it's quite easy to correct with a bit of pping

yeah is old manual lens i'm thinking about buying because the shop selling it abit cheap because of the mark. is advertise as having a little marks on the rear element of the lens. i was thinking about buying it because the price is good.

If possible why not take your camera along and try it

'Mark' is unlikely to be dust, more likely a scratch, rub or similar that is actual damage - without trying it you won't know if it will affect pics.

i guess i probably leave it for safe. Just bought a 135mm from a fellow TP on here so i think i will safe the cash for something else instead lol
