Firstly apologies if this is in the wrong section....but the Nude/Glamour is about critiquing work and this obv isn't my work..



Hi I'd like to create a photo similar to this.....

I have absolutely no studio equipment

I have a Canon 420EX flash and a Halogen site (building site) lamp....500W

Am I wasting my time trying to do this?

Any tips advice would be wicked...

This is my first attempt at anything vaguely like this...

what is ?

TBH it looks like the light was used from the window. thus pic could have been taken with any old equipment (prob wasn't of course)

What it should have read is 'This will be my first attempt at anything vaguely like this'. Apologies.

I thought there was a pic missing of what you tried ?: )

I havent done anything liek the above and I may be wrong (it's been known hehe) but the shadows makes it look like window light only to me... no expensive studio lighting...

Stick yer missus on the window ledge and get snapping..see what happens :)

On reflection I also think its just window light.....

Yep - that shot is definitely lit only by window light.
 
I've editted it to a link for you as the section doesn't really accomodate nudes and people might be browsing at work :)

It does look like it's natural daylight, maybe a reflector but that looks to be about it :)
