a good use of dof..lack of...and a good expression
some cropping to spotlight the animal and take out the greenery would add impact

Oh he's gorgeous. I'm a boxer lover full stop, got one myself ;) Anyway, I'd crop a lot of the sides to get Max to come out a lot more.
