Hi Everyone,
I had posted this thread in talk Business but Aligibbs suggested moving it to talk equipment.
I'm not sure how to close the other thread so please can a mod close it for me.

I have just bought a Canon 70-200mm L F2.8 Mark II lens from Kerso and was wondering if anyone can direct me to a company that will let me insure the lens against mechanical breakdown after the first year. Just like an extended warranty from Jacobs, Jessops etc.

I have tried Domestic and General but they do not insure camera lenses. They only insure cameras when they are not bought from one of their associated companies (Jessops etc).

I already have my equipment insured for theft, accidental damage etc and most of my equipment was bought from suppliers that gave me the option to purchase extended warranties so everything else is covered nicely.
Thanks in advance for any help with this

What about a Mack warranty?
Hi Graham,
never heard of it before but if they also cover lenses this is exactly what i'm looking for. Will get in touch with them tomorrow.
Thanks for the quick reply and the great help

If you take a look on Ebay you'll probably find the same warranty a lot cheaper from HK, they're all registered in the same place so the source doesn't matter....
