I have started shooting RAW off late, hence feel the need for bigger card. Planning to buy 16gb card. Can anyone pls let me know which is the best place to buy them. Seen the ones in amazon for about 10 quids, sandisk extreme class 10. Read good reviews by buyers.

Any thoughts, guys?
 
The only thing I would say is buy from a reputable dealer. Amazon has some good deals from time to time, sometimes their resellers have better deals but I do wonder about the authenticity of some of them.

MyMemory can have good prices from time to time also but again I question the authenticity of some of these.
 
I use Duracell cards for both of my cameras. I have some Class 10 16Gb SDHC cards and also some 600x and 300x CF cards and I bought them all from 7dayshop. When I put one of the SDHC cards in my 550D the burst capacity went from mid 30's up to the mid 50's instead. They are good prices as well as good performers and very reliable. Never had any problems from any of them and we have about a dozen in the house altogether.

Whats a good price for the 16 gb card ?
 
I personally have always bought SanDisk from 7dayshop. Never had a fake or dud and the VAT loophole kept prices very sensible however I believe that loophole may have been tightened recently so might have to switch to Amazon. Again, personally< I'll be sticking to Amazon themselves rather than resellers since I have the same feelings as Graphilly above.

IMO, it's often worth avoiding the cheapest suppliers to avoid fakes, so whatever your trusted supplier is charging. Just imagine losing 16GB of files to corruption - especially if it's an important shoot (and it will be if you have a card cr@p out on you).
 
I only use Amazon directly now. I used to use 7 day shop, but they got fake Duracells into their stock and then denied it. I also doubt the authenticity of resellers and third parties so would rather pay more to get my cards from a genuine source.

If thats from Amazon themselves, that seems a good price for a 16gb Sandisk card.

As others have said, I would only buy from Amazon (themselves), Play are worth a look, mymemory gets good reviews on here as well.

Very occasionally, the likes on Comet / Currys / PCW have an offer on...
