Might be a long shot or might be a popular subject on here ?

Do professional photographers offer to mentor wannabe photographers. I feel that if I was guided by a professional, my skills would improve no end. Is there such a service, or is it case of booking on one of the "one to one" courses. There must be plenty of photographers in Manchester and being able to shadow one would be a great experience for me.

Professionals do offer courses, usually for other professionals and at professional prices.

Why a professional over an experienced amateur?

You could attend meets that are advertised on the forums, join a local camera club etc and you will still pick up a load of information
