This is starting to do my head in, so I thought you good TP folk be able to help.
I'm basically exporting RAW files from LR into small jpegs and I think I've added metadata that includes my name address and phone no. But I've no way of checking it.
If I use the 'get info' command (on Mac) it only gives basic info, my exif viewer also doesn't show it, but Nikons software does show all the data.

What I need to be sure of is, that someone at a newspaper picture desk will be able to read my address details, and who might not have nikon software.

So can anyone tell from this image what my (made up) address is?

Thanks in advance :)

Using Opanda and by uploading to FlickR (now deleted), I can see your name but not your address or phone number.

Surely you'd be including your contact details in any communications anyway?

* Artist = MARK BEAUMONT
* Copyright Owner = MARK BEAUMONT

Is all I can find from exif....

I am not too hot at this but I think it needs to generate the whole gallery in LR to get the meta tags for the page? Utter tosh :p

That's only true as long as the images and email stay together. If the images get passed around it's quite likely they could go astray. Embedding it in the file keeps it all together.

Well, that's what I was told any way :)

Actually - looking in Lightroom it does export it without it being in gallery. I stand corrected!

Mark - wanna email me the file and I will have a looksee? Am interested to find out the result of this :)

How about a white strip along the short side with contact details in it? Or, if providing prints, stickers on the back with details.

Aye it is photosuckit stripping it.

Here is where you live btw: my house

No worries matey.

Howsabout having a password protected page on your website with a lightroom generated gallery for your clients to access downloadable files from?

Oo and beautiful picture by the way - superb focus and lovely model.

Yeah, I've got that feature, which I use for client stuff, but this is for some editorial pics that I haven't taken yet but are likely to go to the nationals, so they'll get sent round the lot indiscriminately. If anyone actually uses one, I want to get paid!!

Thanks, that's no editing just straight from LR, just needs some skin smoothing etc
I love shooting wide open :)

Aha. That's cool then - if you are emailing / FTP'ing these out then the problem is solved.

Wide open - yep I am with you on this one - it rules!

Add contact details and bank payment details at the end of the caption in the caption field as well as all the other drop-down menus.
