Hi, You need to know what triggering voltage your camera can accept. I'm not a Canon user but I have heard it is quite low, something like 6volts I believe. You then need to know what the triggering voltage is of the flash that you want to use and if it's higher than the camera can accept then it's advisable NOT TO USE it. Also they "MUST BE" the same polarity.
You should be able to find the camera triggering voltage in the cameras manual or from Canon.
To find the flash triggering voltage, If you search Google by tapping in Flash Triggering Voltages it will direct you to several sites that will put you in the right direction. The information you need is not on the Metz website
