Mic to use in clubs

Hey guys. I'm starting to do more more videos in clubs and gigs so the sound is quite essential to get live acts. Internal 5D2 mic is good in manual mode but quick change of filming area and you have different sound output. Any advice on mic in budget of £80 to be suitable for gigs and so on?

to get band audio of the live acts? Get a Zoom H1 or H4 recorder, and cables to go XLR and 2x large jack into the recorder, and set it up to record the output from the sound desk. Make sure that you record audio in camera as well, and use pluraleyes to sync.

Yes, that's the idea. Would any other cheaper recorders would do the same trick with sound desk connected to?
This is just an example http://vimeo.com/38394001, it's a mix not recorded and can't match tracks properly.

probably... think Tascam make one that's pretty similar.

You can get zoom H4's on ebay for £200, your best bet really. Then get a couple of jack and a couple of xlr cables - different desks have different outputs.
