Micro sd>CF

Has any one actually used or tried a micro sd in an sd adapter then put that in a CF adapter
having a few unused micro sd cards I thought would give them a try in my 1 series camera
then after searching into this a little bit I saw some has put the micro>sd adapter
then into another CF adapter and it worked

just curious to know if it works OK or if its problematic

They will work but they're not too fast. A guy next to me at an airshow last year did it and it got him by. I'd only do it at a last resort and I've got an 8Gb micro sd in my phone and an sd adapter in my camera bag although I haven't got a SD to CF adapter and don't use an SD card in either of my bodies. They're in my card caddy to keep them safe, but in an emergency if I could get a SD>CF adapter to get by on I would do.
