Yes
Has anyone used this to create spreadsheets/workbooks for Windows versions of Excel? How did you find compatibility and was there any functionality that couldn't be used in both versions?

I've managed to Google some info which tells me that there shouldn't be any issues but I'd rather hear some real life experiences from people here.

I use it on a daily basis Marc and have experienced no issues to date.

The biggest problem you'll find I expect is when using dates as Mac and Windows machines tend to have a different default setting for date interpretation (the 1904 system) so there may be the need for a little formula work when exchanging those, but other than that all should be fine.

My only bug-bear with OFM is that it doesn't support recording macros which I used to use a lot when running a Windows machine.

Yes, same as the others I cross over between Mac and Windows without any real issues.

I actually prefer Windows based Excel to Mac, it's one of the few things I've found works better!

Hmmm, that could be an issue. Can you not record macros at all on the Mac? Is there some sort of workaround?

You can use AppleScript as a work around but, frankly, that's a total ballache.

The good news is that VisualBasic support is back in for Office 2011, so it depends on which version you buy to be honest.

I can confirm there is the option to record macro in OFM 2011 (Tools > Macro > Record New Macro).
