I just returned from a decent couple of days in Milan with the other half. Not exactly a photography trip, so these are just snaps really..

Nice set Joe. Glad to see you never got around to selling the 5d!!

Did you sell the 17-40? Would have been better, wouldn't it?

Love #3, it's got a very olde world feel to it and some lovely tones. Also like the last with the trails. I find #2 spoiled by the cut off bottom.
 
Like those, a good reminder. Not sure about the B&W one in the set, it looks out of place, might be better in colour?

Did you use a tripod or hand held?
 
Thanks both. David I sold the 17-40. Fantastic lens, lovely quality, but it's heavy, bulky, and I didn't use it much so got the old 24-85. It's nice, just not that wide... hence the cut off bottom.

Byker, I used a tripod for the blue hour shots, the others are hand held.

Yes, #3 is my favourite too, it has a timeless quality to it.
